TRAILERS/RECREATIONAL VEHICLES PARKING ON PUBLIC STREETS‍

Just a reminder that, since summer is now behind us, all Holiday/Utility Trailers and Recreation Items/Boats will now need to be removed from Village streets and empty lots for the winter months. Please have all of these items removed in order to keep these areas clear and open, thank you for your cooperation with this matter.

 

SOUTHFORTY WASTE SERVICES TRANSFER SITE:

Hours of Operation(Foremost Site):

Wednesday–1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Friday –8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Saturday– 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

 

DOG CONTROL:

The Village of Foremost would like to thank those dog owners who continue to keep their dogs from running at large within the Village of Foremost. However, we still continue to receive complaints regarding dogs that are running loose with the Village or causing a disturbance by excessive barking. Dogs running at large are a nuisance to other residents. They tear up garbage, damage and destroy property, and at times frighten children and adults.

Please continue to keep our Village a clean and pleasant place to live by making sure your dog is kept within the confines of your yard, unless it is otherwise restrained by a permitted leash held by a person and that leash is attached toa choke chain, collar or harness securely holding the dog.

 

Listed below are the yearly license fees required by the Village of Foremost, due January 1, of each year:

1.  License for each altered Dog                     $10.00

2.  License for each unaltered Dog                $15.00

 

Again, the Village of Foremost would appreciate your assistance in adhering to Bylaw No. 473, a copy of which may be viewed at the Village of Foremost office during regular office hours.

 

WATER, SEWER RATECHANGES:

 

The Village of Foremost Utility Rates for 2026 are as listed below:  (Per Billing Rates):

 

Water:   $69.20 minimum charge (first 4000 gallons), plus $2.00 per 1000 gallons thereafter

Sewer:

  • Business                                              $51.80
  • Garage/SvcStations                           $78.20
  • Hotels                                                  $206.00
  • Motels                                                 $129.00
  • Restaurants/Cafes                              $129.00
  • Schools                                               $228.90
  • Trailer Court                                        $25.20   per occupied site

 

CLEARING SNOW FROMDRIVEWAYS AND SIDEWALKS

Pushing and Clearing snow from private driveways and sidewalks and depositing it onto Village of Foremost streets and roads is not permitted.

 

IT IS AGAINST THE LAW

 

Section 43 of the Public Highways Development Act provides that:

 Any person who, without justification or excuse, obstructs or deposits any material on a highway or road is guilty of an offence.

 Any person convicted of an offense may also be ordered to forthwith remove any obstructions or materials deposited on the highway or road.
