Highways & Connections
Foremost is well-connected by a network of highways, making travel to nearby communities and attractions both convenient and scenic.
Highway 61 – The Red Coat Trail:
East: Connects toward Orion and Manyberries, and to Twp Rd 62, a gravel route leading to Elkwater and Cypress Hills Provincial Park. It also links to Highway 887, where the stunning Red Rock Coulee can be found.
West: Leads to Lethbridge and connects to Highway 4.
Highway 879: Runs north to Highway 3, linking Foremost to Bow Island and Medicine Hat, and south toward Writing-On-Stone Provincial Park.These routes make Foremost an ideal stop or base for exploring southern Alberta.
